Esteban Ramirez | Neoclassical pianist, poet, & Illustrator
The inaugural "Color Your World, Own the Rainbow" salon | Oct. 18, 2025
Hosted by Claude Raffin, Santa Barbara
Esteban Ramirez is a neoclassical pianist, composer, free-verse poet, and AI digital illustrator whose work interweaves music, poetry, and visual art into immersive storytelling experiences. His piano compositions—often accompanied by a small ensemble—blend lyrical romanticism with emotional depth, inspired by the likes of Chopin, Mozart, and Barry Manilow.
Born in El Paso, Texas, to immigrant parents, Esteban began composing at age eleven as his musical gift blossomed in the church where he first played piano. His poetry, written alongside each musical piece, expands his artistic vision, offering listeners a poetic window into his inspirations.
He has released three albums under his label, Descanso Music, and two poetry collections—Serenade to the Moon and Welcome Home—each accompanied by his AI-generated illustrations. A frequent performer nationwide, from Los Angeles to Lincoln Center, Esteban now resides in Santa Barbara, where he is at work on his fourth album and third poetry book.

Rod Lathim
LIT love. illumination. transcendence | Feb. 18, 2026
Private reception hosted by Santa Barbara Rainbow Salon
Rod Lathim is a fourth-generation Santa Barbaran and interdisciplinary artist whose creative practice spans more than four decades. Widely recognized for his work as a playwright, director, and producer, Lathim has been a guiding force in Santa Barbara’s cultural landscape, including overseeing the renovation and development of the Marjorie Luke Theatre and founding Access Theatre, which toured internationally with original works.
After a lifetime of storytelling through performance, Lathim turned to sculpting with light, exploring illumination as both material and metaphor. His neon sculptures merge vintage instruments and found objects with light to create contemplative works rooted in love, healing, and transcendence. Drawing on his background in music therapy and theatre, his art gives form to the intangible, translating sound, memory, and spirit into luminous, meditative experiences.
Santa Barbara Rainbow Salon is proud to support LIT, Rod Lathim’s neon sculpture exhibition at Art & Soul Gallery. His exhibition reflects a deeply personal and spiritual journey, inviting viewers to consider light as a restorative force in a fragmented world.
