Santa Barbara Rainbow Salon is a volunteer-led, community-driven initiative dedicated to supporting LGBTQIA artists who live in the greater Santa Barbara region.
The Salon works to amplify artistic voices across disciplines by creating opportunities for artists to share their work with the broader community. Through collaboration, visibility, and thoughtful presentation, the series centers the artist and the art itself, helping creative expression be seen, heard, and experienced.

With a shared passion for creativity and inclusivity, we volunteer our expertise to foster a space where diverse voices and talents can thrive. Together, we aim to inspire and celebrate the richness of our community through art and collaboration.

Rafael Cuello
Multimedia Artist & Curator
Originally from the East Coast,
Rafael Cuello is now a California–based curator and creative strategist who transforms public spaces into platforms for culture, equity, and connection. His work—spanning murals, exhibitions, and advocacy campaigns—centers LGBTQ+ visibility, Latinx heritage, and community empowerment. With deep roots in public health and the arts, Rafael blends storytelling and strategy to uplift underrepresented voices and ignite social change through bold, inclusive visual experiences.

Esteban Ramirez
Neoclassical pianist, poet, & Illustrator
Esteban Ramirez is a neoclassical pianist and composer whose work blends cinematic chamber music, free-verse poetry, and AI-generated visual art into a theatrical concert experience. Performing with his octet, he creates immersive, story-driven programs where music, language, and imagery converge to invite audiences into a shared artistic journey.
